try it sober

Phoebe Ryan

I used to travel the world and stay up all night
And do the drugs I used to like but now I don't
I stay at home and I watch Tv
And think of who I used to be when I'm alone

Every morning, waking up and feeling like I was asleep
Just going, going, going
Not sure if I'm better now, at least I got my sanity
I'm going, going, going but I

I wanna know if this is real
Now that I'm getting older
Cause I know how it used to feel
I just wanna try it sober
I don't believe that days are done
But maybe the end is closer
I never said I won't have fun
I just wanna try it sober

I used to drink like it's a game
I let my friends tattoo my legs and now it shows
I used to ride my ups and downs like ferris wheels
Round and round I go, I go

Found out how to lose myself around the age of 17, oh
I'm growing, growing, growing
Certain days don't ring a bell but there's a few with memories
I'm growing, growing, growing but I

I wanna know if this is real
Now that I'm getting older
Cause I know how it used to feel
I just wanna try it sober
I don't believe that days are done
But maybe the end is closer
I never said I won't have fun
I just wanna try it sober
