he wants it that way

Mahalia Jackson

Let it rain, rain, rain
He wants it that way
Let it pour, pour pour
He knows what it's for
When it lightens and it thunders
Do you ever stop and wonder
Why he said he wants it that way

Some may smile
While others may cry
All the while
He's watching on high
Count your blessings every hour
God is strong, and He's got power
Everyday, he wants it that way

He made the moon and stars
To lighten the darkest of night
Made the mighty sun and said
Let there be light
Never doubt him for one minute
Read the Good Book
All that's in it
And you'll say he wants it that way
(repeat again)
