keep ya head up

Lyfe Jennings

Yeah, this song was such a hell of a song that i felt it was necissary to bring it back, and i just kinda like came along with the song, it's your boy lyfe jennings and your boy 2pac

Some say the blacker the berry, the sweeter the juice
I say the darker the flesh and the deeper the roots
Holler to my sisters on welfare
Lyfe cares, if dont nobody else care (dont nobody else care)
I wonder why we take from our women
Why we rape our women, do we hate our women?
I think it's time to kill for our women
Time to heal our women, be real to our women
We will have a race of babies
That will hate the ladies, that make the babies
Will the real men get up
Ladies i know you're fed up, but you gotta

Keep ya head up,ooohhh child things are gonna get easier, oh hold on, ooohhhh child things are gonna get easier all you gotta do is believe

I remember marvin gaye, used to sing to me
Had me feelin like black was the thing to be
Suddenly tha ghetto didn't seem so tough
Though we had it rough, we always had enough (always had enough)
Realized momma really paid the price
She nearly gave her life, to raise me right
Though you were a crack feind mamma
You always was a black queen mamma
Oohhh child of mine
To all the ladies havin babies on your own
No it's rough, and you're feeling all alone
Better days are comin

Keep ya head up,ooohhh child things are gonna get easier, oh hold on, ooohhhh child things are gonna get easier all you gotta do is believe

And when he tells you you aint nothin don't believe him
And if he can't learn to love you you should leave him
Cause sista you don't need um
And i aint trynna gas you up, i just call um like i see um
And you know what makes me unhappy? (whats that)
When brothers make babies, and leave a young mother to be a pappi
And since we all came from a women, got our name from a women, and our game from a women
I know they beat you down alot
When they come around the block brothers clown alot
But please dont cry, dry your eyes never give up
Forgive and don't forget
Girl

Keep ya head up,ooohhh child things are gonna get easier, oh hold on, ooohhhh child things are gonna get easier all you gotta do is believe

Keep your headddddd up
Keep your headdddddddddddddd up
Keep ya head up keep ya head up
Keep your headd up
Keep ya head up keep ya up
This all i gotta say
Keep ya head up
