i can t turn back

Kelly Price

[Verse 1:]
I've had disappointments
I've had some strife
I've had great suffering
And so much pain in my life

I've had some situations
I really should've lost my mind
But i know god's a keeper
And that he's always right on time
B verse
So when i think of his goodness
And what he's done for me
I can't turn back

[Verse 2:]
I remember being homeless
Being mistreated and abused
I remember being talked about
Cuz there were holes in my shoes

Somebody told me that you loved me
You had a better life for me- yeah!
I'm so glad that they told me
I'm so glad that i'm free

[B verse:]
So when i think about your goodness
And what you've done for me
I can't turn back

[Chorus:]
I'm committed to you lord
So i won't go back
I won't go, i won't go
I won't go

[Verse 3:]
I don't serve him for money
I don't serve him for things
I do serve him cause i'm thankful
For all the joy that he brings

When i was in trouble
He came and rescued me-yeah!
Lord without you im nothing
Lord i owe you everything

[B-verse:]
So when i think about your goodness
And all you've done for me
I can't turn back

[Chorus 2:]
I'm committed to you lord
So i won't turn back
I won't go, i won't go
I won't go, i won't go

[repeat and modulate x3]

I can't turn back [repeat]

[Bridge:]
Thru all of my sorrow
Thru all of my strain
For every one of my struggles
And every one of my pains
Many days when i was crying
Many days i wore shame
But i thank you for sunshine and i thank you for the rain
That's why...

[Verse 4:]
I don't serve him for money
I don't serve him for things
But i serve him cause he's faithful
And he's been so good to me

[B verse:]
I get joy when i think about
What he's done for me-yeah!
I'm so glad that he saved me
Im so glad that im free

[Chorus 2]
