i still love him

Belinda Carlisle

He looks into her eyes and he says she s awfully sweet
He swears that she s the only girl
to make his life complete but
When she can t go out

He makes a date with her best friend
and he takes her to a show
And goes to all those places that her folks won t let her go

But I still love him
I ll always love my Joe
(Ah my Joe he is so fine!)

He holds her place and whispers
she s the girl he s dreaming of
He says that she s the only one
that he will ever love but when
She s late for school

She hovers to the classroom just to spot so she can go
He s there besides some other girl and how it hurts her so

But I still love him
I ll always love my Joe (ah my Joe he is so fine!)

But I still love him
I ll always love my Joe (ah my Joe he is so fine!)

And she ll grow out of loving him
although the years will pass
And though she ll know he ll hurt her
so her love will always last
For an eternity

She ll always stay right by his side
though heaven only knows
The heartache that he causes her and how it hurts her so

But I still love him
I ll always love my Joe

But I still love him
I ll always love my Joe

But I still love him
I ll always love my Joe
